On Wednesday, December 18 from 5:00–7:00 PM, Santa will be stopping by The Shoppes at Tapp’s for an evening of photos, wish lists, and cozy downtown cheer. Bring the kids, bring your camera, and enjoy a relaxed, small-town-feeling Santa experience right in the heart of downtown Columbia.
Inside the historic Tapp’s building at 1644 Main Street, you’ll find a festive backdrop, decorated storefronts, and a marketplace filled with local boutiques, artists, and makers. After your visit with Santa, take your time exploring the shops for last-minute gifts, stocking stuffers, and special finds you won’t see in big-box stores.

Join us as we officially welcome a new era of creativity, community, and commerce at The Shoppes at Tapp’s in the heart of downtown Columbia. On Thursday, December 11, 2025, we’ll celebrate the grand opening of this vibrant, modern marketplace with a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 4:00 PM, followed by a festive Holiday Market from 6:00–9:00 PM. Explore beautifully curated retail spaces, meet the merchants, and experience the renewed energy inside this iconic historic building at 1644 Main Street.
During the Holiday Market, guests can shop one-night-only vendors, discover exclusive holiday deals, and support local artists, makers, and specialty retailers. It’s the perfect opportunity to find unique gifts, enjoy the season, and see what’s new inside one of downtown Columbia’s most beloved buildings.
